1Corinthians 16:13

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.

You Lord Jesus are our fortress in adversity. In You, O Lord, I put my trust; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Your righteousness. Bow down Your ear to me and answer my prayers for deliverance of the world from evil. You are my rock and refuge, a fortress of defense to save us. Lead us and guide us for You are our strength and into Your hands we commit our spirits. May You redeem us, O Lord God of truth. There are so many lies and much hate swirling around these days Father please pour out Your Holy Spirit to convict the world of sin and bring a great revival to the nations. May all heart's desire Your perfect peace and humbly submit to Your ways. Let all that we do be done in love. I have hated those who regard useless idols and put my trust in You Lord. I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy for You have known my soul in adversities and keep me from the hands of the enemy. Have mercy Lord for those in trouble, whose eyes wastes away with grief. Strengthen and protect those who are living in fear because of hatred that surrounds them. Uphold them with Your righteous right hand. Deliver Your children from the hand of the enemy, those who persecute Your chosen ones. May the lying lips be silenced, which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. How great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You. In the presence of the sons of men You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence, from the plots of men. Thank You Lord that You will keep them secretly in a pavilion. Blessed be the LORD, for You have and continue to show us marvelous kindness in hearing our supplications. Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, and fully repays the proud. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all who hope in You Lord. Amen.

1 Corinthians 5:6

Your glory is not good. Do you not know a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

Just as Jewish people are required to sweep all the leaven from their homes for the Passover, I desire to be swept clean of any hidden sin that may be having influence over me. I thank You Father for giving us Your Son and leaving Your Spirit here until the work on earth is done. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us, and my desire is to praise Him forever from a pure heart. May I not live with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. I desire not to contaminate my relationship with You dear Lord. I confess although anger rises up in me at times, I cling to You to hold me steady and restrain my tongue. May You grant me the gift of discernment as not to violate Your commands. I do not desire to oppose You Father or Your will but surrender to Your sovereignty. Jesus came as light to the world, so whoever believes in Him should not abide in darkness. I believe! You Lord Jesus took the bread and broke it saying this is My body take and eat. You also took the cup and said this is My blood, the blood of the new covenant that was shed for us, take and drink. Do this in remembrance of Me. I remember and celebrate You Lord. Thank You! May all glory and honor be given to Your great name Jesus, Amen.

Act 3:5

So, he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.

Dear heavenly Father, I come to You in the matchless name of Jesus seeking forgiveness for giving my attention to things of the world hoping to receive something. When I am not feeling well, I often don't rest in Your arms, far too concerned with responsibilities and commitments to slow down. Your Holy Spirit has giving me at various times the strength to the portions of my body that were in need. I believe You are the same today as yesterday so I seek You Lord for a healing touch. Often what I have expected or thought I needed You have giving me something far greater, thank You. I pray today Lord for those who stand at the Beautiful gate expecting to receive something, may they be blessed with more than they could ever have imagined. I pray Lord for repentance to sweep the land and many be converted, their sins being blotted out and the time of refreshing has come. Restore those who have strayed to the joy of salvation. Hear the widows cry and comfort her. Thank You for being Father to the fatherless, blessing the orphans with brothers and sisters in Christ. Provide for the poor by opening up the windows of the hearts of those with means to provide for those in need. Pour out Your peace where there is raging conflict as only You can do. May Jesus be glorified today. May praise and adoration be a sweet-smelling aroma that is pleasing to You both now and always, Amen.

1 Thessalonians 2:19

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

You Lord God are able to keep us from stumbling and present us faultless before Your glorious presence with exceeding joy. You are our God and Savior who alone is wise, majestic having all power and dominion both now and forever. You dear Jesus are worthy of all our adoration. We praise You for You alone are the One who keeps us from being deceived. May Your sanctuary be in the center of our lives as You sanctify and keep charge over us. We thank You for guarding us in this life, despite all the dangers and pitfalls that the enemy may put in our way. Divination may be on the lips, the heart may be proud, but for those whose ways please You Lord, You make even our enemies at peace with us. Your mercy and truth provide atonement for our iniquities and by fear of You Lord we depart from evil. How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. May we seek You this day with all our hearts, minds, souls and strength and Your kingdom and all things will be added unto us. When we boast let us boast in You Lord Jesus. May praise continually be on our lips as You are high and lifted up forever. Amen.

Galatians 2:6

But from those who seemed to be something--whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows personal favoritism to no man--for those who seemed to be something added nothing to me.

Dear Lord please make me keenly aware of false brethren, the ones who convincingly pass themselves off as Christians. The reason for my ask is too many times they have tried to curtail the liberties You have blessed us with. Their desire to bring me back into bondage of religious rituals and works that add to the finished work of the cross. Expose the trickery and deceit that is legalism. The false teachers who refuse to confess that salvation is Your gift through faith alone in the finished work of Jesus on Calvary. May I only speak and live the truth of the Gospel. I thank You Father for my brothers and sisters in Christ and the blessing that You do not show personal favoritism to any, but Your divine love is the same, steady and constant for all who believe. Peter opened his mouth and said, "In truth I perceive that God shows not partiality", You are the same today as You were yesterday. I thank You Father that the good news is not just for a certain population, but every kind of person is welcomed into Your kingdom. Jesus said "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all the things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age," Father, i desire to do just that for Your glory and honor. Amen.

Matthew 26:35

Peter said to Him, "Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!" And so said all the disciples.

Heavenly and Holy Father, how often we can be swayed by prides bravado. Although You have warned us there will be trials and not to underestimate the extremes test of faith we will encounter in this life, I pray we Your disciples will remain firm on the rock. And when we faulter, may we quickly turn back and be restored. I give thanks for Jesus' intercession on our behalf. May Your Spirit make us aware of the times we subtly deny You in our daily rounds. The big trials are easy to identify but the little foxes can spoil the vine. Make us aware of the clever schemes of the enemy so we may keenly escape the trap. I pray Father You would lovingly break the strongholds in our lives as we walk with You on the narrow road of sanctification. Forgive us for our pride that puffs us up and leads to a fall. May we love mercy, do justly and walk humbly with You our God.  As I ponder Peters words "Even if I have to die with You..." I wonder would I really do just that? I would like to believe I could be so brave, but reality is quite different. I'm so thankful that You who began a work in me will be faithful to see it to completion. I bow my head and bend my knee to You Lord, the King of kings and Lord of lords, the One who is faithful and true. The One the angels say "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!" Worthy are You Lord to receive glory and honor and power for You created all things and by Your will they existed and were created. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 4:1

Finally, then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and please God...

You have instructed us Lord Jesus; they will know us as Your followers by our love for one another. So may it be we abound in this more and more. To be found blameless in holiness before You Our God and King. Some among us, appear to be pleasing to You but all the while they are seeking approval from men. May they receive correction and be fully pleasing to You, being fruitful in every good work. I aspire Lord to lead a quiet life, minding my own business, and to work with my hands. The task of walking properly is an essential part of my witness that must remain steady and constant in my life. Just as I'm dependent on my limbs to support my every step, so I am dependent on the Holy Spirit to keep me walking upright and in the right direction. May I walk worthy of the calling, remaining in Your light, that is in Your revealed will. There is still much yet to come, trials and triumphs, worries and wonders, sanctification and satisfactions and through it all may my heart be filled with gratitude. May each passing day be lived out in a way that please You Almighty God. May I be rooted and built up in You Lord, established in faith as I have been taught, and abounding with thanksgiving. May I be aware lest anyone cheat me through philosophy and empty deceit according to the traditions of men. May I not live according to the basic principles of the world but according to You, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is the head of all principalities and power. All glory and honors is Yours now and forever more. Amen.
