I sing to You God, sing praise to Your name. I extol You Lord acknowledging Your greatness, the One who rides on the clouds. By Your name YAH, I rejoice before You. Blessed are You Lord, who daily loads me with benefits. You are the God of my salvation! But You O' Lord are not limited to the clouds and storms, You meet the needs of the helpless. You are the holy habitation and dispense justice. Thank You for the gift of loneliness that drives me into a deeper relationship with You and others, enlarging my heart to love. Without this gift I would not have married or engage in friendships or endure the numerous problems that are a natural part of intimacy. Thank You Lord for using loneliness to cause me to appreciate the beauty of others in a new way. May the little lonely that I feel be the help I need Lord to realize my own company can be very worthwhile. As being content is a crucial lesson for my identity in You. As I consider the forms of loneliness such as the felt isolation of not being understood, or not having someone "with" me as I walk through suffering, like Job who needed empathy and understanding. I believe Jesus, You felt it even more as You set Your face like a flint and journeyed to the cross. You Lord Jesus were familiar with the bitter taste of loneliness in suffering, I look to You for comfort. You Lord Jesus were well acquainted with the pain of rejection. Your example points to the fact that I need to arm myself with the knowledge that when I pick up my cross and follow You, I am to become very acquainted with the deep and existential forms of loneliness You experienced. But I rejoice because in You there is the fullness of joy and my heart swells with gratitude. I thank You Jesus for never leaving nor forsaking me. May You receive all the glory in every season of my life. Amen.
