"But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren."
Dear Lord Jesus,
How merciful and gracious You are. You so lovingly restored Peter even before he denied You. You see and know the heart of every man. You are sovereign and in control of all thing, everything must pass through Your hands. As we face various trials and testing that are ultimately for our good and Your glory, it is far to easy to succumb to self-pity. The excessive, self-absorbed unhappiness over one's own troubles can quickly over take our thoughts and actions. Ah, but the joy of You is our strength. You Jesus are our ever present help in times of need. God You are are refuge may we be found hidden in You. Father, by the power of Your Spirit living in us, may we persevere through this life, even when a spouse walks out, a sister robs from us, a young loved one is called home even when it was strongly believed for Your healing touch. May we continue to praise You, thanking You, and surrendering to You good and perfect will. Even Lord when we can't see where the road is going may we cling to Your side, resting in You, knowing You will lead us to safety. I'm always filled with awestruck wonder when I hear the testimony of those who have gone through grievous trials and have risen victorious in You. They have forgiven, extended mercy and grace where others would have demanded their way. Those who have picked up their cross daily to follow You sparkle and shine encouraging other to fight the good fight, is truly a remarkable sight. Jesus, may we rejoice because You are consistently interceding on our behalf, You the King of the universe praying for the wretches like us. Thank You Lord Jesus, Amen.
