John 10:1

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."

Dear Holy Father,
A thief steals in secret and a robber plunders openly with violence. How often have I been a thief stealing away from my health. How often Father I have plundered my body with things that rob my vitality. Far to often Father, eating foods that cause me to crave more food, or depriving myself of much needed sleep to finish just one more task. I've run off with good intentions to meet the needs of others all the while denying myself time needed to exercise my physical form. Yes, Lord I have tried to climb over the wall another way to wellness. Taking for myself the glory all the while pilfering what is rightly Yours. Jesus You are the good Shepherd that lead us by still waters. You Jesus make us to lie down in green pastures and restore our souls. You Jesus are the way, the truth and the life that restores our health. Jesus call to Your children that have gone astray running after the things like overeating, drinking, smoking or the use of drugs that lead to death. Your sheep Lord know Your voice and You know ours. Far to many Lord are listening to the hirelings, but the hireling does not truly care for the sheep. Hireling have schemes and quick fixes that only benefit themselves and leave those who have followed destitute. Open our eyes to see the deception in their wicked plans, and their enticement. The words that lure with easy solutions or guaranteed results, all lies to line their pockets stealing from those they are suppose to help. Father just as Samson cried out saying "O Lord God remember me I pray, strengthen me just once more", so to I pray for strength and the strength of my brothers and sister to overcome the obstacles that keep us from entering through the gate into Your rest. I pray we strive and struggle no more. Jesus there is freedom in Your embrace and You came so we may have life and have it more abundantly. Thank You Jesus for laying down Your life in exchange for mine. You go before me and I shall follow You because I have heard Your loving voice calling to me. I pray Lord many more will seek You and find You at the gate that leads them out of darkness into Your marvelous light. May all glory and honor be Yours forever and ever. Amen.

John 6:68

Simon Peter answered Him, " Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life."

Dear Heavenly Father,
Just like Peter, I answer You, "To whom shall I go?'  Father, there is none like You. There is no other god before You. And no other way but coming to You through Your precious Son Jesus. The world and all that is trappings have nothing that is eternal to offer. Jesus I believe with all my heart You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. In my pain and grief, in my doubts and fears there is no where for me to go but straight into Your loving, kind and merciful arms. Oh that I should dwell in the secret place of the Most High. Abiding under the shadow of You Almighty. I will declare You Lord are my refuge and my fortress. My God in whom I trust. Thank You Lord for covering me and mine under Your feathers. Under Your wings Father we shall take refuge. We will not be afraid of the terror by night nor the arrow that flies by day. You the Most High are our dwelling place. And I bless You Lord Jesus for given Your angels charge over us. Today Lord I humble myself under Your might hand. Casting all my cares upon You Jesus. Father by the power of Your Holy Spirit grant me strength, courage, perseverance to be sober and vigilant. Cause me to stay awake because the adversary walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom to devour. Thank You Jesus for Your precious shed blood protection over me and my house, for we shall serve You our Lord, our Savior, our Deliverer, our Redeemer, our Friend and our great God and King. Your kingdom shall have no end. Thank You Father for leaning Your ear and being attentive to my cry. With a grateful heart I thank You, Amen.

James 4:1

Where do wars and fights come from among you?
Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?

Heavenly Father as You watch over Your children below, how it must grieve You to observe the conflict within us. The war that is between our sinful desires for pleasure and the desire for Your will. I surrender my cravings to You Lord and ask for Your Holy Spirit to be stirred up within me to empower me to have victory over things that entice and ensnare me. I do not desire the things of this world that are full of lies and deceptions keeping me from the wonders You so lovingly have for me. May I be still and know that You are God. You need no help from me because You are all powerful, Almighty, the great I Am. Jesus I read something that said, there is a perfect passivity which is not indolence. It is a living stillness born of trust. Jesus I trust You with every area of my life, for it is not mine, but Yours the One who gave it to me. Bring to my remembrance when I'm feeling worried, quiet tension is not trust, it is simply compressed anxiety. Anxiety is fear and fear is the prideful worry of self. May Your perfect peace fall sweetly upon Your children granting us rest in Your loving arms, being anxious for nothing but with prayer, supplication and much thanksgiving make their request known to You. And may You who will hear from heaven grant us peace, The peace that surpasses all understanding that will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Amen.

1 Peter 1:14

...as obedient children not conforming yourselves to former lusts as in your ignorance.

Dear Holy Father,
When I hadn't tasted of Your goodness. When I hadn't seen Your loving kindness. When I had no revelation of one day sitting at Your banquet table eating of heavenly food, I was consumed with gorging myself on things of this world. But now I know the Bread of Life, the one who sustains me to walk in obedience by the power of Your Spirit living in me. I no longer conform myself to former lusts. For greater Lord Jesus are You in me than he who is in the world. Father, Your gift of salvation through Your beautiful and precious Son Jesus Christ causes us to cut a new pattern of living no longer shaped by our past. Your Word Father, a set of instructions to be followed in the making of a new life, a life in Christ. Bless You Lord for the courage to continue on, even when we stumble or fall Your mercy reaches down and lifts us up. Your grace at times so undeserving, yet You freely give. So, Lord we too should extend what was freely given to us to others, and also to ourselves. Because therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in You. Your love Lord is so amazing, I pray many, many more will come to know You, turning from their ways and cling to You being transformed into someone far greater than they could imagine. In Your Holy name Jesus I give thanks and pray, Amen.

3 John 1:2

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Dear Heavenly Father,
As I awake this morning to Your banner over me that is love, You welcome me into Your banquet. You Lord Jesus are my Beloved and I am Yours. You have prepared a table for me in the presence of my enemies. You are not intimated by the evil one. Although he prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom to devour, You are always loving and kind, strong and powerful defending and protecting us. You Jesus have overcome the world and all forms of wickedness. What an honor and privilege to hear You the King of kings and Lord of lords call me friend. The apostle John wrote a letter to Gaius, and in his greeting he implies Gaius is physically weak, though he spirit is strong. And this morning Lord I hear Your loving voice say, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." You Lord Jesus died, and furthermore are risen, and sit at the right hand of God the Father, and make intercession for us, for me. What an incredibly humbling thought, You could be concerned or be occupied with a great number of other more delightful things but no You pray and intercede for Your children. Is there no greater joy for You than to see us walk in truth? Thank You Lord for Your amazing love as I meditate on just that Your love, and willingness to pour it out. I am forever awestruck. Father I surrender my will in to Your loving hands, so just as Your Spirit in me is strong, so my body will be too. My words of I love You seem so small but please accept them as pure and true. In Your beautiful name Jesus, Amen.

1 Corinthians 4:2

Moreover it is required in the stewards that one be found faithful.

For many of us Lord as You well know are facing various kinds of trials. Your Holy Spirit brings to remembrance the testing of our faith produces perseverance. So by Your power may we maintain a persisting trust so faith may finish its work in us to be mature, complete and lacking nothing. Many cry out to You Lord our times are in Your hands deliver us. Lord Your desire is for us in our affliction to earnestly seek You and You alone. We are to be good stewards over our finances, fitness, families and friendships and we must be found faithful in all. As I recall promises made to myself I know in many ways I have not been faithful, diligent or committed. As I read Your holy word this morning Your servant Paul advises, "Its is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago, but now you also must complete the doing of it."  Father I pray to have a dug in tenacity that is relentless so I may overcome the obstacles before me standing in the way of my health being restored. I pray Father You will continue to spur Your children on in the trails they face, whether lose of job or loved one. Father steady those who have been shaking by crumbling marriages, set backs in studies or an undesired medical reports. Lord I pray our eye be fixed on the finished work of the cross resting in the knowing all glory and honor is Yours. You who have started a good work in us will see it to completion. Jesus You persevered through the greatest trail and testing that deemed You victorious over life! You Jesus have rose from the dead, overcoming sickness, disease, abandonment, shame, abuse, false accusations and so much more. I pray all will seek You,  I know without a doubt they will find You there in the midst of their darkest troubles. For You Lord are our ever present help in times of need. Thank You Lord for never leaving nor forsaking me, always and forever true to Your word. I love You Lord, Amen.

Mark 1:40

Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down before Him and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You can make me clean."

Glory to God in the highest and peace to His people on earth. All those Lord Jesus who have been touch by Your compassion, rejoice because Your are the God who sees. Your willingness to heal and cleanse those who are sick with sin, and are outside of Your loving embrace is divine. Ah, Your children know full well the mercy and grace bestowed upon them by Your caress of kindness. Jesus simple put, You do nice things! You not only healed the leper but You touch Him. No one else would have, but You did. All of us Lord in some way could be demeaned untouchable by a Holy God, Your incredible love Jesus made a way. Bridge the gap making it possible to come into an intimate relationship with the Father. May all the world turn to You seeking Your willingness to touch them. Jesus be glorified throughout the land near and far. Forgive us Lord for the times we see someones in need yet remain unmoved or un-involved. Your word speaks it over and over admonishing us to care for others. You have instructed us Lord saying, "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love". Today may Your children, Your people who have been blessed by Your tender mercies be moved by compassion and willingness to touch a life that has been cast aside or cast out, may it be the demonstration of Your love. Whether the separation was caused by choice or circumstance does not matter, let us be Your beautiful hands extended in a kind embrace. May our mouths proclaim the good news of the Gospel and our prayers be one of thanksgiving for Your tenderness that has healed us body, mind and spirit. Amen.
