Roman 4:20-21

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

May all the saints be joyful in glory. Let us sing aloud as we recline at the feast table rejoicing because You Lord have redeemed us. We do not recline in laziness but because we enjoy all the work You have done in our lives. I thank You Lord God for Your Holy Spirit that dwells within us strengthening our faith and the resolve that what You have promised You are able to perform. We thank You for Your loyal love and pray our lives demonstrate Your characteristics as we serve. We do not bow to idols made by man's hand and have no mouths to speak, eyes that do not see our need and ears that cannot hear our cries. They have hands but cannot handle, and feet but do not walk. Thank You Jesus for coming down from heaven fully God and fully man walking and talking to us and teaching us the way to go as we follow You. You have been mindful of us and bless us both great and small. Thank You Lord for given us increase, and even more to our children. We rejoice for with You God nothing is impossible even though circumstances may be difficult. Again, we proclaim "Nothing is impossible with God."  Today we declare our faith in You as our deepest desire is to please You. We pray for those who don't know You yet to come and believe that You are the great I AM and a rewarder of those who diligently seek You. May all the days of our life bring glory to You. Amen.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gospel that saved me for I am neither Jew nor Greek, but one who was lost and now am found. It was Your righteousness that was revealed to me, and I thank You for the courage to receive it by faith. Oh, how I long for all those I love and for those I have yet to meet to know the truth that will set them free. I thank You for the gift of faith from the first day I met You and faith that continues to propel me to live a righteous life. I pray for my brothers and sisters to remain strong in their faith even when they are faced with various trials. I thank You for the patience to endure as we are being refined into Your image and likeness. I cry out for Your mercy and for You to restrain Your wrath that will be revealed from heaven against the ungodly and unrighteous people who suppress truth. Fill us with the power of the Holy Spirit to continue to do the work of evangelist as we gather many more into the ark of Your love. It is Your loving kindness that brought me and so many others to repentance, please Lord answer our prayers for more souls to be freed by Your kindness, tender mercies and grace. Jesus You are the Light of the world, shine forth this day as the only beacon of hope and deliverer from the powers of darkness. May the joy of You Jesus be our strength today and forever more. I love You Lord Jesus, Amen.

John 21:1

After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias and in this way, He showed Himself:

Dear Heavenly Father, Peter declared even if all are made to stumble, he would not. Yet he denied Your Son three times, but Your mercy and grace poured out from the cross restored him. This is a sobering reminder to me to be on guard as pride comes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. I thank You that You love those with a broken and contrite heart not despising us. May my lowly state be a sacrifice acceptable to You. May I be alert to the overconfidence that is deadly especially when it comes to my health. Pride was satan's downfall and it can be mine as well. Let me not be hasty in my declaration that I can do it, I can overcome when truth is I can do nothing apart from You Almighty. You have graciously casted away my infirmity and met me on the shore restoring hope and peace. You have showed Yourself to me as the great Physician, healer and redeemer. I pray Lord for those who are awaiting a touch from You may they receive it today. May we cast our nets to the other side because we have exhausted ourselves in our own strength. I pray Lord for those who are struggling and need provisions to be blessed with a net full of abundance. I pray for those who have no hope to take refuge in You the One who is the way, the truth and the giver of life. I thank You Lord for calming the seas of the anxious and fearful. I thank You Lord Jesus for all the testimonies of Your children and the declarations of You our God is great, mighty and worthy of all our praise. Amen.

John 20:28

And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"

Dear Lord thank You for the peace only You can give. Always greeting us with Shalom in the midst of our worries and concerns. How loving and patient an act to graciously let Thomas touch Your pierced hands and side that reminds all of us to be believing not unbelieving in the midst of various circumstances. You truly did many signs in the presence of Your disciples, and many more were not even written in the Bible, but I am thankful for Your Holy Word that is true. You had them recorded so many people would believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God. In doing so we may have life in Your name Jesus, thank You. The disciples who walked with You were blessed in so many ways but how much more I am blessed because I just believe You are my Lord and Savior. I pray today for my lost loved ones who have yet to have their eyes unveiled to behold Your beauty and for those whom I love to have their ears circumcised to hear the resounding truth. I pray today would be the day of their salvation. Lord how I desire to be used as a vessel of peace in a world of tribulations and deception. May Your Holy Spirit have His way in and through me to bring light into the dark and gloomy souls stumbling around grasping for hope. May songs of deliverance be on my lips to set captives free, and I have the joy of hearing shackles fall to the ground as You receive all the glory and honor due Your great name, Amen.

John 19:8

Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid.

Forgive us Lord for the times we are more afraid of people in this world than being in awe of You. You Lord are with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me, nothing. You have instructed us to speak in the light what You have told us in the dark and what we hear to preach on the housetops. We shall not fear those who kill the body because they cannot kill the soul. I thank You that You have taught me fear of You so I may have wisdom. I thank You that You cared so deeply for me that You went to the cross and paid my ransom. Two sparrows may be sold for a copper coin and not one of them fall to the ground apart from Your will Father. I thank You that You know me so intimately, even knowing the number of hairs on my head, I shall not be afraid for You have thought me more valuable than the sparrows. I pray Lord to have boldness in my speech to confess to the world around me You Jesus are Lord and Savior, Redeemer and Friend. I thank You that You will graciously confess me to our Heavenly Father. I thank You for enduring the mocking, scourging and suffering on my behalf, one of the ones unworthy to even untie Your sandal strap. I find myself desiring to break open the alabaster jar of my heart and anoint Your feet with tears of gratitude, love and devotion all my ordained days. Jesus be magnified in and through my life. Amen.

John 18:4

Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, "Whom are you seeking?"

You Lord have commanded us to be strong and courageous, to not be afraid nor discouraged for You are with us wherever we go. You have also promised us Your peace that only You can give not like the world gives. Father, I pray for us Your children to not let our hearts be troubled in the times we are living, for Your precious and beautiful Son overcame it all for us. May our hearts rejoice and be glad as we go forth in our daily rounds, with praise continually on our lips. May we be reminded of Jesus courage as He boldly faced those who would arrest Him, torcher and beat Him, that we too can face those who have malice in their hearts because You go before us. I confess it isn't always easy to submit ourselves voluntarily to Your will and what You have preordained for us to walk through, but I know You will never leave nor forsake me and all whom love You and call You Abba. May we always put on the full armor even when we are relaxing in the garden because we never know when the enemy will present himself as he is a roaring lion seeking whom to devour. I thank You Lord that no weapon formed against us will prosper. Lord may we be keenly aware of those in our midst that would quickly turn and betray us. I thank You that You are my light and salvation, and I fear not. I thank You Lord that You are the strength of my life and I need not be afraid. In this I will be confident when wickedness comes against me, my enemies and foes will stumble and fall. The one thing I desire and that I will seek Lord is to dwell in Your house all the days of my life. To behold Your beauty as You hide me in Your pavilion, in the secret place. I love You Lord Jesus, Amen.

John 16:33

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

Heavenly Father I come to you in Jesus' name with thanksgiving for the peace He has given. With understanding that tribulations are literally "pressure" and figuratively meaning "affliction or distress" of which many in Your body are enduring. I pray they and myself included would be of good cheer as we fully recognize and acknowledge Your Son has overcome the world for us and has blessed us with the gift of the Holy Spirit to comfort us. I thank You that in You we can be confident and courageous because we place our trust in You. So may our conduct be worthy of the Gospel as we stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together and in no way be terrified of our adversaries. I thank You for our salvation. For unto us a Child was born, Your Son was given, the government is upon His shoulders. Jesus You are our Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, we shall fear not nor be afraid for You are with us wherever we go. I thank You that we have been justified by faith and have peace with You and that we stand and rejoice in the hope of Your glory. I thank You that nothing can separate us from Your love. Not tribulations, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril or sword. I thank You that we are more than conquerors through You who loves us so much You laid down Your life to call us friend. I am totally persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities not powers, not things present nor things to come, nor height not depth, not any created thing, shall be able to separate us from Your love. I pray today we go forth rejoicing in this day You have made and graciously given. May You receive all the glory and honor forever more. Amen.

Ruth 1:21

I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the LORD has testified against me, and Almighty has afflicted me.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for all Your promises that are yes and Amen. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but You Lord deliver us from them all. You redeem the soul of Your servants and none of us who trust in You Almighty will be condemned. So, Father, we will bless You at all times, even more in the trials. Praise to You will continually be in our mouths. May our souls make boast in You so the humble will hear of it and be glad, even in the midst of their own afflictions. We pray Your church would come together in unity of the Your Spirit and magnify You and exalt Your name together. As we seek You, we trust You will hear us and deliver us from all our fears. As we look upon You, we are radiant, and our faces are not ashamed. Let not a bitterroot spring up among us as not to defile or trouble others. May we conscientiously look after each other so none of us fail to receive Your grace. I thank You Lord that love covers of multitude of sin and is a herbicide that eradicates all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking. May You use us Lord to bring comfort to those who are suffering, enduring tribulations and troubled. We thank You Lord for strengthening and helping us, upholding us with Your righteous right hand as we seek You. Oh, that we would taste and see You are good. Bless all of us who trust in You Lord, for our good and Your glory, Amen.

John 12:3

Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.

Dear Heavenly Father I come before You today rejoicing in answered prayers! Thank You so very much, Your loving kindness is vast as the ocean. It is amazing how one action of love can fill the atmosphere with a sweet aroma. Your beautiful Son Jesus selfless, obedient act of laying down His life for the sins of the world is beyond belief for some but for me it is the greatest gift I've ever received. Thank You Lord. Many have been motivated by "What's in it for me" when they strategize the outcome of a deed, work or doing a favor, but Jesus You have said those with a pure heart (motivation) will see You. I pray this day to serve You and be glad in it. Your word says, if anyone serves You, they should follow You and where You are there we will also be. Let me live by Mary's example of devotion, give all that I have to You. The custom of her time was to anoint the head of a guest as an act of honor, but anointing Your feet was a display of devotion. I pray my actions, deed and words are also a display of devotion to You Lord Jesus and leave a fragrant aroma of love wherever we go together. Jesus be magnified in my life so those who have not yet met You will today. May You now and forever receive all the glory do Your great name. Amen.

Ruth 1:18

When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped speaking to her.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come Your will be done. It is not always easy or comfortable Father to surrender to Your good and perfect will, even when we believe you do us no harm. I am reminded of Jesus words when He went again a second time to pray, "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done." Father, I pray for those who are facing various conflicts with loved ones. It is so difficult to change the minds of ones who are determined to do something, especially when we do not know the outcome. Was Naomi just relinquishing giving in to the notion her words held no value. Forgive us for thinking we know best in someone else's life before seeking You in prayer and trusting You with the outcome. We fight so hard for what we think is best for others, that accepting the feelings we have lost the fight is at times even harder. And again, I'm reminded of Jesus withdrawing to kneel and pray, saying "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me, nevertheless not My will, but Yours be done." Father, I believe You will send Your Holy Spirit to strengthen Your children who are being pressed, stretched and tested. Calmness and confidence will make us strong; may we wait for Your help, wisdom and courage. You have instructed us even though quiet can be a struggle it is a good virtue to have. For there is a time to keep silent and a time to speak. For even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues. May we remember when they won't be persuaded, we cease speaking and rest in the knowledge the will of You Lord be done. You have declared our thoughts are not Your thoughts neither are our ways Your ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are Yours Father. Thank You for loving us through all our trials and tribulations. Forever grateful, Amen.

Ruth 1:16

But Ruth said: "Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God.

Jesus, You have instructed Your followers to let them alone, those who our heavenly Father has not planted for they will be uprooted. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch. Yet my heart cries out to You to be merciful and gracious to call with Your loving kindness those who are being deceived by false leaders. Grant us keen discernment to know those who truly worship You the one true living God. There are many false Christ and anti-Christs in our midst even in Your house of worship. Protect those who are sincere and seeking truth, testing the spirit to see if there is a twisting of scripture. Guard our hearts. Lord, I pray for those caught up in false religions, pagan practices and idol worship to understand their instructors are causing them to err and sin against You Almighty. May they receive revelation that being led by such will lead to their destruction. You Jesus have come to give life and life more abundantly. Open the blind eyes to see the ones they are following after who think they are superior and consider themselves guides, lights, instructors and teachers are the exact ones You will judge for their deceptive actions and motives. Call to our lost loved ones beckoning them to come follow You Jesus. May You hear from heaven multitudes respond, 'Where You go, I will go, where You lodge, I will lodge, Your people will be my people and You are my God forever more." Amen.

Ruth 1:14

Then they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her.

Heavenly Father as I ponder the word in Proverbs "A Friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." I ask myself do I laud faithfulness to You and to others? There is a fickleness that runs through our society that deeply contrast those who are true friends. Ones who are constant are to be cherished. And how much greater to have a brother or sister who helps in times of stress. I desire to be just that but know in many ways and far too often fall short. I am reminded through my short comings there is One who sticks closer than a brother, my Lord and Savior and who is Your precious Son Jesus. So is it simply to have a friend one must themselves be friendly? I think not, for Christ example is to die to ourselves, for there is no greater love that one could give than to lay down their life for their friends. I praise and thank You Jesus for doing just that. As we go forth serving others, watching and learning from Your example You call us companions. It is so humbling a thought that the King of the universe would speak such kindness to our wretched souls. Oh, that we should desire to be as Ruth and cling to You always and forever. I pray we go forth this day loving one another and in doing we bring honor and glory to You, Amen.

Psalm 30:5

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my foes rejoice over me, O LORD my God I cried out to You, and You healed me, thank You. O LORD You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. On this day I shall sing praises to You with the saints. With Your children I give thanks at the remembrance of Your Holy name Jesus. Your lovingkindness and tender mercies override Your anger that is for a moment. I thank You for giving me life and life more abundant and freer. My weeping has been many nights but certainly joy does come in the morning, great is Your faithfulness, Lord unto me. Father, I pray for those who are grieving, carrying heavy sorrows to experience Your goodness and peace as You turn their mourning to dancing, as I testify You have done it for me. I pray as the people of this world turn and put their trust in You, they will be greeted with deliverance. I thank You that you bow down Your ear to those who cry out to You the great I Am for healing, hope and wholeness Your amazing grace will resound in their lives bringing much needed hope and restoration. Lord, You hate useless idols so I pray for conviction in idolators heart and a swift, complete removal of such offenses. Redeem us O Lord God of truth. This is the day You have made let us rejoice and be glad in it. Amen.

Proverbs 14:7

Leave the presence of a fool, for there you do not meet words of knowledge.

Heavenly Father this Proverb doesn't need much explaining so straight forward and yet at times can be so challenging to place into action. Such a powerful reminder to walk away from conversations that can very quickly turn for the worst. Grant me keen discerning ears to hear the lack of piety and to know the sound of corrupted speech. To keep company with this type of folly is dangerous and nothing good can be gained from it. Father, I pray Your Holy Spirit brings a strong resolve deep within me not to engage with those who bear false witness, scoff at truth, lie and have foolish talk, for there is a way that seems right to man but in the end lead to death. I thank You for Your word that is truth and blesses me to have life and life everlasting. I desire to be a wise person and build my house and refrain from foolishly tearing it down with my own hands. I pray to devise good and there I will meet with Your steadfast love and faithfulness. To draw near to You and You will draw near to me. Thank You for blessing me with a awe fear of You for it is the fountain of life. May my heart ponder how to answer the mouth of the wicked that pours out evil things. Thank You for Your promise that "The fear of the LORD is instruction in wisdom, and humility comes before honor. Thank You Lord for loving me so much not being satisfied to leave me the way You found me. I love You Jesus, Amen

Isaiah 48:17

Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; "I am the: LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you the way you should go."

Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted His people and has mercy on His afflicted. Heavenly Father for some who are still deep in affliction it is challenging to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but Your grace is a daily reminder Your strength is made perfect in weakness. That we should behold Your eye is on those who fear You, on those who hope in Your mercy. You deliver our souls from death and keep us alive in famine. May our hearts rejoice in You because we trust in Your holy name Jesus. You are our help and shield. You have promised You will instruct and teach us in the way we should go, may we have keen ears to hear. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked, but we thank You for Your word that says those who trust You, mercy shall surround us, thank You Lord. We are so blessed because our transgressions are forgiven through the cross of Calvery where our sins are covered and washed in Your precious blood. You Lord are our hiding place, thank You for preserving Your children in times of trouble, for surrounding us with songs of deliverance, selah.

Isaiah 45:6-7

That there is none beside Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other; I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the LORD, do all these things.'

Heavenly and Holy Father, I come before You in Jesus name with tears. I have no words to express the sadness, no fancy petitions, nor words of wisdom just a plea for You to send Your Spirit and bring peace. Comfort Your people who are grieving, hurting and questioning, asking the "why God". I pray for Your mercy and grace as You have promised it is new every day, and we desperately need an extra measure now. Father strengthen Your children to remain steadfast and true as the world shakes with tribulations and may there be a great harvesting of soul for Your kingdom in this hour. Your exposing of lies is not always easy to see but is essential for cleansing. May Your sons and daughters be blessed keeping their gaze firm on You not looking to the left or the right as You lovingly keep the narrow road straight before us. Use us Father to bring forth hope and healing as we boldly with confidence share the love of Jesus. Forgive us Father for all the sins we have committed against You, laughing, mocking and scorning Your great name. Forgive us for allowing sexual immorality, debauchery, idolatry, materialism and pride to flood Your Holy Church. As we humble ourselves before You, we thank You that You will lift us up. "Rain down, you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness; let the earth open and let them bring forth salvation and let the righteousness spring up together. For You are the LORD and have created it. Woe to him who strives with his Maker!" Lord Jesus have mercy on us all, Amen.

Job 36:15

But by means of their suffering, He rescues those who suffer. For He gets their attention through adversity.

Heavenly Father Your word says that I should behold You are mighty but despise no one; mighty in strength of understanding. You do not preserve the life of the wicked but give justice to the oppressed. And oh, how we need those words of comfort now, as many are enduring various adversities. I pray for Your Holy Spirit to keep Your children in resilience, granting the capacity to withstand or to recover quickly from difficulties. May we find peace and rest in the truth You do not withdraw Your eyes from those who are robed in the righteousness of Christ. Daily as I ask You to search my heart desiring to face the blind spots where I have acted defiantly and not heeded Your instruction for proper self-care as my focus has been on the needs of others. While this may sound noble it has led me to suffering. I thank You that You have gotten my attention and humbly ask for Your deliverance from disease. While You Father are under no obligation to heal me I thank You for the mercy and grace You poured out from the cross. I lay down all pride and all unpure motives crying out for Your help to navigate this hour in which I live. To live a quiet life, work with my hands and mind my own business especially in the area of health and wellness. I thank You Father for Your intentions on teaching me something or many things through this affliction. May the finished work of Your precious Son be magnified in me and may He receive all the glory. Amen.

Judges 21:25

In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.

Heavenly Father Your word teaches us what has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. How true, as we see it all around us, everyone doing what they think is right in their own eyes. Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Blessed are You Lord and gracious to teach me. Lord, I pray that in every trial, circumstances and issue of the day I would seek You with my whole heart! My desire is to remain teachable and heed Your instruction not wandering off in pursuit of my own thoughts or schemes. There is so much peace and rest to be found in the knowledge Your Son has been given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder. He is our counselor who is wonderful, our Prince of peace. We really need You to pour out Your Holy Spirit as wickedness is abounding more and more, You are the only One who can save us from all this destruction. Open the blind eyes, unstop the deaf ears to hear the call to repentance. Give us clean hand, give us pure hearts that we would not lift our soul to another. God let us be a generation who seeks Your face. I love You Lord and the world need You, Maranatha.

Psalm 78:18

And they tested God in their heart by asking for the food of their fancy.

Yes, Father again and again we tempt You, and provoke You the Holy One. Over and over, we test You the Most High. You have commanded us to not tempt You Lord our God, yet our rebelliousness and sin comes before You. It is Your will and at Your discretion to test us to see if You will find faith on the earth. Father, I do desire to do what is right and good in Your sight as I desire for all to go well. By Your Spirit cast out all our enemies so we may dwell in the land of milk and honey.  Moreover, You desire for the brethren to be aware of those who have gone before us and persevered. Through it all they had Your protection and guidance. Thank You Lord for all who have experienced Your miraculous deliverance and for those who will one day soon. Daily You provide us with bread from heaven and living water to nourish our souls, thank You. But Father it is so grievous to see and hear that there are those in our midst who have partaken of the same spiritual food and drink and yet have craved and lusted becoming idolaters. Some people have sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play, committing sexual immorality. Lord, strengthen us from within to stand and may we take heed lest we fall. Let us give thanks to You for You are good! Your mercy endures forever. It is so much better to trust in You than to put confidence in man. As the Psalmist says " Save now, I pray O LORD; O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! We have blessed you from the house of the LORD. God is LORD, and He given us light; Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You." Amen.

Ruth 1:2

The name of the man was Elimelech, the name of his wife was Naomi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chilion--Ephrathites of Bethlehem, Judah.

Therefore, God You have highly exalted Him and have freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, and in His name Jesus I come before You today, Father. It's amazing the meaning behind names; Elimelech meaning God is King, Naomi is pleasant, my delight, lovely, sweetness and my joy what names of honor but not so with Mahlon and Chilion who were weakling, sickly and come to an end. And it must also be noted Father Your choice of names for Orpah meaning disloyal in contrast to Ruth meaning faithful. Such details to further enrich the truths found in the book of Ruth. Your precious beautiful and innocents Son Jesus' name meaning God is salvation! Thank You for revealing to me and many others He is the way, the truth and the life and no one can come to You without going through Your Son. I pray You will only hear me praising Your great name Jesus. And convict those who use Your name as a cuss word. I pray Lord today would be the day of salvation, the day You will draw many to Your loving side so many names will be written in Your book of life. To the one who is victorious, You will give some of the hidden manna, also a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it. Thank You for considering the lowly state of Your servant and remembering me when You come into Your kingdom. Blessed be Your name Jesus both now and forever more. Amen.

Ruth 1:1

Now it came to pass, in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehem, Judah, went to dwell in the country of Moab he and his wife and two sons.

Holy and Heavenly Father, it is so true and sometimes we hate to admit it our god can be our belly, and our end is destruction. Our physical appetites can control and consume us. Father we are well aware hunger can come in many forms; food, drinks, material possessions, power, prestige and the list goes on. The things we take pride in will in the end bring us humiliation and disgrace. But famine can drive us to a whole other place of desperation. Thank You for the reminder our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly wait for Your Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You are the judge over us all. You have appointed those to govern over us, both in Your house of worship and in the nations, yet we confess we don't always listen or obey, playing harlot with other gods, even bowing down to them, forgive us Lord. In the parable of the lost son, we search our hearts in these words, "And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods the swine ate, and no one gave him anything." Father as we can struggle at times to find substance in our days, we look up to You and rejoice knowing there You are with open arms, filled with compassion and kisses to heal our wounds and absolve us of our sin because we realize and confess them to You. Father, we thank You for the inheritance, the robe of righteousness and our daily walk with You in peace. May we continue to bless You Lord in all we do and say as we yield to Your Holy Spirit as He leads us to the Bread of life. Amen.

Ruth 1:6

Then she arose with her daughters-in-law to return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the fields of Moab this the LORD had visited His people and given them food.

Heavenly Father, when famine of sorts come into our lives how real the scramble can be to find love, provisions and support. We can travel great distances to find relief, but all the while You are there as our ever-present help in times of need. How important and crucial it is for us to have attentive ears to hear Your instruction. I pray Lord we don't allow bitterness and despair over our losses and grief keep us from humbling ourselves in returning to Your loving care. Trials are the launch pad that can begin an amazing new journey with You the lover of our souls. Return is mentioned eight times in this chapter, and You have said Return to Me the Lord Your God for You are gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, thank You for Your promises. How we can rejoice that You have blotted out our transgressions like a cloud and our sins like a mist, You have redeemed us. I pray for us Lord that we would have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths, but rather train ourselves for godliness, for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds the promise for this present life and for the life to come. So, when famine comes may we remember to look to You with gratitude and expectations as You are faithful and trustworthy. Naomi and Ruth journeyed back to Bethlehem "The house of Bread" as we recall Jesus You are the bread of life, and we ask You to bless us with our portion for today to nourish and sustain our souls. May You receive all the honor due Your great name, Amen.

1 Kings 18:27

And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, "Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened."

I will lift my eyes to the hills--from whence comes my help? My help comes from You LORD, who made heaven and earth. Even though my fleshly body needs sleep, I rest knowing You are awake and alert keeping watch over me. You never sleep nor slumber, my ever-present help, thank You LORD. You preserve me from evil as You are never off duty. How much better to hear a rebuke of the wise, than for one to hear the song of fools. Father, grant me boldness to speak the truth, to proclaim Jesus is alive! You have taught us as Your beloved to not believe every spirit, but to test the spirits to see whether they are from You, for there are many false claims in the world. But You Jesus have said You are the way the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through You, thank You for making a way so I may enter into the courts with thanksgiving and praise. May I regard Your warning that many false christ and false prophets will perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead many astray, if possible, even the elect. So, I look to You Lord the author, finisher, perfecter of my faith saying I desire to have no other gods before You Almighty God. May my mind be sharp and my heart sincere so I may pay attention to make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let it not be heard for my lips. May praises to You be a sweet-smelling aroma that reaches the heaven and all glory and honor be given to You alone. Amen.

1 Kings 14:9

...but you have done more evil than all who were before you, for you have gone and made for yourself other gods, and molded images to provoke Me to anger, and have cast Me behind your back--

Holy Father, forgive us, for we have hated instruction, casting Your words behind us. There are those among us who saw a thief and consented with him. There are those who have partaken in adultery, and many more who have given their mouths to evil, tongues that frame deceit. You see those who sit and speak evil against a brother, and even slander their own mother's son. But You have kept silent so fear could come into the heart of Your church so we may repent. We thank You that Your mercies are new every day and never come to an end, great is Your faithfulness. Let us not be foolish and provoke You to anger one minute more. May our garments be washed in the precious blood of the Lamb. May we wake up and no longer spurn Your Holy Word. Give us clean hands and a pure heart as we cast down our idols, never again to be mixed up or tempted to arouse anger in You. May we love mercy, do justly and walk humbly with You our great God and King forever. May Jesus be magnified and receive all the glory due His great name, Amen.

1 Kings 14:23

For they built for themselves high places, sacred pillars, and wooden images on every high hill and under every green tree.

Heavenly Father, forgive me for not seeing as You see as I busy myself throughout the days. There has been a slow but constant deterioration of the church that causes me to tremble. Despite that fact that there are many who are spiritually sensitive within the body, it so upsetting to see leaders fall. Hypocrisy and apostacy, lies and idolatry run wild in our midst. Help us, Lord Jesus. Some think they are sincerely worshiping You Almighty God but they are seriously wrong. That is so evident in the way many cultural things and practices are being blended into the fabric of what You have called Holy. Lord, we need You to pour out Your Spirit to bring a turning away, a casting down of idols and cleansing to our souls and the land which we have so defiled. Forgive us Lord. There are obscene images and actions all around as we have come to the place where we do not know how to blush. We should be ashamed of the terrible way we act but sadly Father many are not at all. Lord God, have mercy, wake them up as the time is coming and now is here when many shall fall. As I meditate on chapter 13, I think on the destruction that came to the true prophet who was obedient and then was enticed and followed the false prophet instead of You. What a sharp reminder the road is narrow and daily we need Your assistance to stay the course. May we no longer use misguided attempts such as sexual immorality, manipulations and other forms of works of the flesh to gain control which in the end lead to chaos. Father, restore peace and order to Your church for the glory of Jesus and His honor, Amen.

1 Kings 11:22

Then Pharoah said to him, "But what have you lacked with me, that suddenly you seek to go to your own country?"

Heavenly and Holy Father, You are so loving and kind and yet too often we get this sudden desire to return to where You have delivered us from. You are far superior to Pharoah and anything this world could offer, yet it is true when we feel dissatisfied instead of seeking You more, we wander off. Forgive us Father for this is a grievous act we commit against You. Many who profess faith in You have not crucified their love of foreign delights that turn their hearts away from You to worship false gods. I pray for those who cling to these desires instead of receiving Your loyal love. A love that is so amazing and divine. You have commanded us to have no other gods before You, nor make graven images of them. You have also command for out not to take Your name in vain and yet is heard from the mouths of many both young and old. It saddens me to see the lack of true fear, an awe reverence of You Almighty alongside the pride and sense of entitlement many think You owe them. Father as You are not surprised that many leaders in the church have fallen, going back to their own country as You know what is in the heart of everyman. Please Lord comfort those who have been hurt by leaders who were appointed to shepherd Your flock but all the while they lived lives of hypocrisy and lies. I pray for Your church to remain steadfast as You purify Your bride to be spotless and blameless at Your return. King Solomon was blessed beyond measure, yet he did not endure till the end as he went after the forbidden, help us dear Jesus to stand firm in our faith till You call us home. Amen.

1 King 11:4

For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the LORD his God, as was the heart of his father David.

Heavenly Father, You have commanded us to have no other gods before You, so this I ask that You do not refuse me before I die, give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown You and say, 'Who is the LORD?' or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor Your name. You have warned King Solomon and us as well, we should not be deceived "Bad company corrupts good morals." Please keep me Father from the slow fade as I want to be wise and not unequally yoked to unbelievers. Thank You for the reminder for what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? How I desire Father to dance in the light of Your grace daily and be blessed with Your daily provisions. Father although many may come to the end of their days and not see the consequences of their actions the legacy, they leave behind for others to bear can be devastating. I desire to be as written in Proverbs "A good person leaves and inheritance for their children's children." I pray Father to live out my days remaining strong and courageous walking in Your will and ways so the generations after me will reap blessings and favor from You Almighty God. In Jesus name Amen.

1 Kings 8:61

"Let your heart therefore be loyal to the LORD our God, to walk in His statues and keep His commandments, as at this day."

Help us Lord God Almighty as evil and wickedness abound. I pray Lord for those who are part of Your body who are being tempted and lured away from the purity of the Gospel. They are spending time learning and following what You have rendered abominations. The practicing of witchcraft, sorcery, soothsaying and interpreting omens, seeking the ones who conjure spells and or are mediums, calling up the dead are practices that lead to death. Lord grant discernment to see the false teachers hiding as a spiritualist.  In this day of glitz, glamour, fame and shiny there is little or no desire for obedience. But it is obedience that is pleasing to You and brings blessings. Apart from Your revelation that is written in Your holy word, You prohibit any attempts to know the future, but in impatience and pride there is the desire to know. This way of living robs Your children of peace. Over and over, day by day we need You to forgive us, we know not what we are doing, and Lord have mercy on those who do yet continue on in these offenses. Grant us keen ears to know the truth from the lies. As we meditate on Your word may Your Spirit quicken in us to immediately turn away, recalling the twisting of truth was the tactic satan used in the garden to cause them to stumble. May our hearts be loyal to You all our days Lord, so others may see, and our lives bring honor to You, Your name Jesus Amen.

1 Kings 3:9

Therefore, give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?

Father while I'm well aware I'm not a king, ruler or even a statesperson I do appreciate Solomons request for understanding to help in discernment between good and evil. I recognize I am a sinner saved by grace and have a heart overwhelming with thanksgiving for saving me, I also know I need Your Holy Spirit to help me navigate these days I'm living in. Wisdom is truly a gift from above that I desire. I ask for the continue ability to make complex things simple and understandable to the lives around me. Grant me not only the willingness but the patience to listen and reason. When I was a child, I spoke as a child but now am much into my adulthood and have long put away childish things and even so I ask that I continue to be teachable. When I look into Your word I see and comprehend in part but one day when I see You face to face then I will know just as I am known. Dear Lord, I pray to abide in faith, hope and love and the greatest of these is love. Your love that enables me to imitate You. May You receive always and forever all glory and honor do You Lord Jesus as my words actions and deeds speak, Amen.

1 Kings 2:13

Now Adonijah the son of Haggith came to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon. So she said, "Do you come peaceably?"

The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him. I thank You God that You surround me, hovering over me so I need not fear, even in the most desperate of times. You are my shield and buckler and cause me to be as wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove. Adonijah did not come to Bathsheba peaceably all though his words spoke it, that was not the intention of his heart. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Lord let me not be naive or gullible when others try to deceive or take advantage. Whether it be a family, friend or stranger grant me discernment to navigate safely the request of others. Solomon was so wise and saw the plot and those who conspired against him, so I pray Lord for Your church to be wise and alert as our adversary roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. May we by Your Holy Spirit resist and stand firm in faith because we know our family, Your body throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings and challenges. Father, bless and protect Your children today for the glory of Your Son Jesus in His name I pray, Amen.

Romans 8:37

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.

Lord Jesus, I give thanks and praises to You for the promise that in You I may have peace. In the world there are many tribulations but because You have overcome the world I can be of good cheer. Even in death we can say "O death, where is your sting, O hades, where is your victory? Though the sting of death may be sin I thank You Father for the victory given through my Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, Lord by Your Spirit I will remain steadfast, immovable and always abounding in Your work, knowing this labor is not in vain. Thank You Lord that nothing can separate me from Your love, not tribulations, distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, peril or sword. For by Your word, I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, not things present nor things to come, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate me from Your amazing and gracious love. Thank You Lord for remembering me and my beloved family both now and forever more. I thank You that this knowledge is diffused as a fragrance, a sweet-smelling aroma of life leading others to life. For Your glory, Amen.

1 Kings 1:29

And the king took an oath and said, 'As the LORD lives. who has redeemed my life from every distress,"

I wait patiently for You Lord and You incline to me hearing my cry. You have brought me up out of a horrible pit and set my feet on a rock. Truly Jesus You are my rock and my salvation, You are my fortress, I shall not be shaken. As Ruth has said so Lord do I say "Entreat me not to leave You or turn back from following after You. For wherever You go, I will go; and where You lodge, I will lodge." Lord, I pray to not concern myself with making oaths but with seeking You first and Your righteousness. I will not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Just as king David celebrated the innumerable times You delivered him from his enemies and from his own sins, I celebrate You this day as well. With a grateful heart You have put a new song in my mouth. Many, O Lord are Your wonderful works, which You alone have done. Your thoughts towards me cannot be recounted for there are more than can be numbered. I cannot conceal Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great assembly but ask for opportunities to share and make Your goodness known to all generations. Lord be magnified in the poor and needy. Lord be glorified throughout the earth. Amen.

1 Kings 1:5

Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, "I will be king"; and he prepared for himself chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.

Heavenly Father the world today seems in many ways to be as Adonijah exalting ourselves against Your will. Interestingly his name means "the Lord is my Lord". Jesus taught us to pray "Your kingdom come Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,". Yet we declare ourselves rulers and kings over our lives and others, preparing and collecting around us those who will enable us to continue propping up the lies we are in control and the masters of our destinies. Forgive us Lord for not inviting in wise council, like pastors, prophets and mighty ones who belong to You to help us navigate and keep from falling off the narrow road. Our vain sacrifices are an abomination to You, only the offering of Christ blood that is without spot or blemish could purge our conscience from these dead works. Jesus You are King of kings and Lord of lord and in humble adoration I bow before You in full surrender and thanksgiving of Your atoning sacrifice. For this is Your will Father, that everyone who looks on Your Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life and You will raise us up on the last day. Let us show compassion to each other as You have shown compassion on those who fear You. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child and thought as a child, but when I became an adult, I put away childish, selfish, prideful ways, as my desire is to bring glory to You always. I love You Lord. Amen.

1 Peter 3:10

For He who would love life and see good days...

Heavenly Father, I understand that in part You mean to use our hopeful response to suffering, to provoke the world to see Your power in us, but I confess this isn't always easy to surrender to. To live in unity together with all believers, refusing to seek revenge as many within the body have not refrained their tongues from evil or kept their lips from speaking deceit. May we choose this day to cling to You and righteousness not pursing evil in any shape or form. So, by Your Holy Spirit may we live peaceably with all men as much as depends on us. With the understanding we do not have control over many things in this life, but we can control the way we respond to it. Thank You for the wisdom and discernment to know the difference. May we always remember day by day to turn away from evil and do good, seeking peace and even pursuing it. May it convict and comfort us that Your eyes Lord is on the righteous and be thankful that Your ears are open to our prayers. We pray this day for our enemies to repent as we tremble knowing Your face is against those who do evil. We take no pleasure like You our merciful Father in the death of the wicked, but rather hope that they turn from their ways and live. We pray for an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit in the dark places around the world, crying out "TURN! Turn from your evil ways, come to Jesus and live forever!" Amen.

Psalm 77:14

You are the God who does wonders; You have declared Your strength among the people

Heavenly Father as I gaze and look upon the natural world around me, I am filled with wonder. The beauty of Your creation mesmerizes, intriguing and inviting us in for a closer look. From the vast sky above to the inner working of the human body there is much for us to be fascinated by, yet we get distracted by fear and anxiety over things we can't control, forgive us Father. Let us this day remember Your works, the wonders of old, and talk of Your deeds. May our minds be meditating on Your goodness, greatness and gentleness when we are being pressed on all sides. Your mercies God will never cease. In our days of trouble may we seek You and You be found with arms stretched out to gather in Your chicks as a hen. May we set our hope in You not forgetting Your works and keep Your commandments. May we not imitate those in our lives that are stubborn and rebellious, not living lives faithful to You Almighty God. Today Father may Your children fix our minds on things that are true, honest, just, pure lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy never losing our sense of wonder. May the Lord Jesus be glorified in and through our lives today and His name Amen.

Jeremiah 3:33

Call to Me. and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

Dear Heavenly Father as the prayer request grow and groan, so many crying out to You would You be gracious again this day. For those who are laying their loved ones down, whether they are young or old, they want to understand the 'whys'. For those who are facing medical challenges crying out asking the "how". For those who are in difficult situations searching for the 'where'. For those caught up in battles who dare not asking 'what' and for those who are lost in the sea of lies and deceptions looking for the 'who' may You show them great and mighty things which we do not know. How often Lord I have repeated the verse "You are the way, the truth and the light and have only scratch the surface of understanding Your love and wisdom in the hard places. Lord many as You well know are being refined in the fires of life so I ask dear Lord, they will see You there in their midst. Many are hurting so I pray for Your body to extend arms to console and comfort. Forgive us for the times we turn away because we have fought far to many battles in our own lives and desire to be removed from the suffering of others. We get lost in the pleasures of life to numb and silence the cries of others. Father, I call to You on behalf of many and ask that You will reveal Your kind generosity this day, and receive all the praise and honor due You, both now and forever more. Amen.

James 2:1

My brethren do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.

Today Father as I think upon these words as written in the Epistle of James, I ask You to search my heart.  Do I show grace and mercy as You did without favoritism? And do I really comprehend just what it means in this crazy mixed-up world? You have admonished us that is we really desire to fulfill the royal law we must love our neighbor as ourselves, but if we show partiality, we commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. Lord, I guess many are living under judgement as there is much violence and hatred abounding. Wars and rumors of wars of what I could not say but am grieved by how much we have fallen away from Your goodness and grace. The desire for power and control drives individuals and nations to a perilous end. We have lost our commonsense and are blinded from the truth. Jesus, help us for if we ever needed You it's now. May we speak and do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. By Your Holy Spirit may we practice love and mercy so we may triumph at the judgement seat. May there be a trembling and an awakening for those who have not shown mercy to know the truth they will not receive mercy. Lord may our faith be purified as we pass through various trials showcasing our belied in You is accompanied by works. May all glory and honor be Yours as we exemplify You in our words and deeds. Amen.

Acts 13:43

Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your mercy and grace that saved me. Thank You for Your body that You have made as a light for the Gentiles, so we may bring salvation to the ends of the earth. And when they hear this good news may they be glad and glorify Your word. I pray Lord for many to be appointed to eternal life. May Your children remain strong when persecution comes, shaking the dust off our feet and continue on the journey spreading the gospel as we are filled with joy and Your Holy Spirit. Thank You that You have trained us by saving grace. You have taught us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present age. May we Your church continue looking forward to the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ. You Lord gave Yourself for us that You may redeem us from every lawless deed and purifying for Yourself Your own special people, zealous for good works. Father let no one despise us. May we as Your children pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see You Lord. May we keep watch of these three dangers; falling short of Your grace or in other words refusing Jesus gracious offer for salvations and Your provision for our needs, allowing bitter roots to grow in our assemblies, becoming irreligious or immoral. May we not lose our inheritance as Esau did by despising Your gracious promises and valuing pleasures of this world more. Father, renew our spiritual vitality, strengthen the hand which hang down and the feeble knees, making straight paths for our feet so we may endure the race of faith. May all we do and say bring glory and honor to You in Jesus name, Amen.

John 20:17

Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me. for I have not yet ascended to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God."

What joy Father must have filled the disciples' souls when they encountered Your risen Son. I could think and marvel on this notion all day.  I'm so thankful for the gift Jesus gave us to be Your sons and daughters, to make a way for us to be back in communion with You Almighty God. I pray this message of hope and restoration reaches the masses and there is a great turning away from sin and revival spreads across this beautiful planet You have lovingly created. I long for the day of Jesus return when He will stand again in our midst and declare "Peace be with you." I pray Lord Jesus for those who have been breathed on and received the Holy Spirit to take seriously Your words, that if we forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them, if we retain the sins of any they are retained. Lord, I desire to live as You live and have my life here on earth be a merciful one. Father, forgive them they do not know what they are doing and there is much evil doing happening in and around the lives of those we love. We need You Lord Jesus, Marantha. Amen.

Psalm 33:4

He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

Heavenly and Holy Father, as You are well aware of the current conditions around the world, as it is filled with evil and far too many people who have no thoughts of You, our Sovereign. You love righteousness and have given us an earth filled with Your goodness. Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There truly is nothing too hard for You. You show lovingkindness to the thousands. You have said "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know." This Father is a very humbling and overwhelming thought to come to understand that You would desire to reveal Your wonders to me. Lord, I desire to enjoy nature with its beauty and fascinating manifestations. Living in this world of technologies has robbed me of the simplicity of life, and yes, I have allowed it to do so, forgive me.  Help me Lord to resist the impulse to deify nature, or worship created things. I desire Lord to observe the birds, the flow of a river, the pulse of the waves and the array of colorful flowers and trees but not bow to these things. Nature is Your creation, and it is marvelous, drawing me in to want to know You more. All this beauty and splendor of the universe comes from Your creative hand, WOW!  I pray Lord for those who worship a supposed mother earth which is just a revival of an old goddess from ancient times, an idol that takes Your glory. May we return to the garden and worship You our creator and in so doing we can love the earth and care for it well. May our efforts to "save" the plant arise from the knowledge we have been called to be good stewards because everything You have created is a gift. Thank You Lord for the wisdom to go forth and serve You, for Your glory. Amen

Matthew 26:41

"Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

Dear Lord Jesus, your words echo through my soul this morning when You said, " O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." I know You were facing the greatest sacrifice ever known to mankind, who could really comprehend it. My heart is heavy, burdened for many who have to walk the painful road I had to walk, but I confess every time I'm asked to come alongside a family, I realize all over again just how weak I am. Help me Lord to be as the good Samaritan to bend down to help those who are bleeding. Not side-stepping things that are stressful and messy but confronting the foe head on with the leading and guidance of Your Holy Spirit. I confess my flesh wants to run, ignore and hide from the trials of others as these are harsh reminders and triggers of a deep valley that has only recently been passed through. You are gracious and so loving and have borne my burdens, so help me Lord to fulfill Your law dear Christ Jesus. Help me to be gentle and kind coupled with a soberness to not be overtaken by the suffering which could lead me into sin. Lord, help this family to find their way out of the shadows and into the light of Your grace. Mend, heal and restore the shattered mind that is grouping in the world for relief. Turn what the enemy means for evil to their good and Your glory. Let the joy of You be the strength we all need for this day. Jesus be magnified, Amen.

Galatians 5:24

And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Heavenly Father I am so grateful for Your consistency in Your holy word, the Bible. More and more I see the twistedness of the world, the cunning lies and enticements that lead to sin and death. I thank You for the promise that when we have been united together in the likeness of Your Son Jesus' death we certainly shall be in the likeness of His resurrection. I thank You that by Your Spirit I can live a new kind of life not being a slave to sin. I thank You that I am not the person I was before my conversion, but a new creation in Christ Jesus. I thank You for the abolishing of my sin nature, and the blessings of godly desires and aspirations. Thank You Jesus for dying for my sins, justifying me to no longer have an obligation to sin. I thank You that the result of being born again is the ability to serve in the newness of life. Father, I pray for myself and all my brothers and sisters in Christ to remain steadfast, faithfully fighting the good fight of faith, bearing witness of our confession in the presence of many observers. I pray we will bear much fruit of Your Spirit in love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. You have said the greatest of these is love, so may the world around us know we are Christians by this truth. I love You Lord and desire that all I do and say bring glory and honor to You for You are worthy. Amen.

Matthew 4:18

And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishermen.

Dear Heavenly Father, it is extraordinary how You take an ordinary day and have ordinary people meet Your Son Jesus. The people who sit in darkness see a great light, and upon those who sit in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned, hallelujah. Lord Jesus, You have declared "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life." Lord, lead me on. I dare not put a bowl over the lamp You have lit in me, but rather desire to shine for You. May I bare witness in the gloomy corners of others' lives so they may come out this ordinary day and meet marvelous You. I pray for those Lord who are searching for a cure for what ails them in their souls to have revelation You are the way, the truth and life. I also yield the hidden things in my own heart so that it may be exposed and illuminated by Your grace. I desire to be free, and You have promised whom the Son sets free is free indeed, thank You. So, I surrender my pride, fear and anxieties of the future in exchange for Your leading me through this life and into eternity. Your word Lord is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path, thank You for it as it is a gift that guides me through sanctification to become more like You. Thank You for the blessing of the Holy Spirit that removes the desire to sin, perfecting all believers in Your perfect love. Amen.

Matthew 5:17

"Do not think that I come to abolish the Law and the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

Dear Lord God, Almighty, You have taught us in the "Sermon on the Mount" and the "Sermon on the Plain" that these Beatitudes are not conditions for entering Your kingdom but blessings for those who have already entered in. You Lord are the fulfillment of the sacrificial system by Your willingness to go to the cross on our behalf, bless You Lord for Your generosity, love and mercy. I thank You Lord for giving me this day the portion of understanding and wisdom needed for today. You obeyed the law perfectly and taught it correctly, something that my sin nature keeps me from doing so I look to You for covering and cleansing. You have provided a way of salvation that meets all the requirements of the law, I'm forever grateful for Your sacrifice. You Lord are trustworthy, faithful and above all power and principalities. You are the Messiah and Yours Lord is the kingdom the power and glory forever. Amen.

Proverbs 31:17

She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.

I pray to be strong in You Lord Jesus and in the strength of Your might.  Clothing myself in the full armor, so I may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.  You have instructed us we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.  May Your truth be fastened around me, and Your righteousness placed upon me.  May I walk in the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances taking up the shield of faith, which I can use to extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one, and not one shall come near me.  As I wear the helmet of salvation so graciously given to me by You my Lord and Savior I am protected from the snares of the world.  I pray to know and cherish Your word intimately and completely because it is to be wielded like a sharp two-edged sword that helps me to continue to stand firm and endure till the end.  In You Lord I'm dressed and unashamed of the gospel, for it is Your power that brings salvation to everyone who believes.  Lord, I pray to be disciplined to pray at all times in the Spirit.  May I stay alert with perseverance, making supplications for all the saints and also for myself so that the words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim Your love.  May I live out my days with strength and strong arms as Your ambassador gathering in the lost, broken and captives for Your glory Jesus, Amen.

Proverbs 31:16

She considers a field and buys it; from her profits she plants a vineyard.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of Your Spirit that helps us to steward well the resources You have blessed us with. I pray to sow generously into the lives of others. Scattering seeds along my journey through this life. May You guide me to make decisions that are practical and frugal. May I not fail to seek Your will or examine my own motives to avoid disastrous consequences. May I use my earnings to benefit my family and teach them to use common sense and careful thought in making transactions. Father as it is no surprise to You the current state of the economies around the world, so I ask for wisdom and discernment to navigate the financial realm well. You know the sincere desire in my heart for the spreading of the good news so may I be blessed to be a blessing to others. Investing in the lives of Your missionary servants as they cultivate the lost souls around the world. May we reap a great harvest together for Your kingdom and glory. In Jesus name, Amen.

Proverbs 31:13-15

She seeks wool and flax, and willingly works with her hands. She is like the merchant ships, she brings food from afar. She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, and a portion for her maidservants.

What a blessing Father to do things we enjoy. The fortitude to obtain skill and mastery while working diligently towards something and the knowing it is doing unto You is a blessing too. May we be blessed to find fulfillment even in the ordinary tasks of the day. Father, make us keenly aware of the needs of others so we may selflessly serve them. May this bear witness of the sacrificial love of Your precious Son Jesus, bringing Him honor. May we daily rise early with thanksgiving knowing You have blessed us with another day to be fruitful. May we have hearts devoted to the wellbeing of those who dwell among us. May our homes be the center of our ministry as we endeavor to live lives of kindness. May our jesters of love be a source that enables our households to be productive throughout their days as well. Father, strengthen the feeble knees and weak hands of those who are battling chronic illness and yet their hearts desire is to serve as they strive to complete the work You have called them too. Father, lift the heads of those who combat the spirit of heaviness, give them a new song to whistle as they work. May the joy of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be our strength. In His name I pray and give thanks Amen

Proverbs 31:11-12

The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil All the days of her life.

I will greatly rejoice in You, LORD. My soul shall be joyful in my God; for You have clothed me with the garment of salvation, thank You Jesus. You have covered me with the robe of righteousness. May praise be continually on my lips. It is humbling to know just as a bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall You rejoice over those who have put their trust in You. Just as the woman with the alabaster jar was unashamed to show her love for You as she was fully devoted to You Lord, I desire for my life to imitate the same. May this be seen in the actions of my life so my spouse may have complete confidence and trust. May I never cease in kissing Your feet dear Jesus as in doing so will be a life well lived. Search my heart Lord and see if there is any wicked way in me, so I may quickly turn from it and remain on the narrow road that leads to life. May You remove any wicked ways in me so I may do good and not evil to my beloved. May my family have no lack of gain because I choose to walk in a way that finds me trustworthy and reliable as You have been towards me. May we submit to each other, be kind, be humble and be gracious, so love may continue to grow. Thank You Lord for leading me in the way, the truth and giving me life. Amen.

Proverbs 31:10

Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.

Heavenly Father many have lost the way that leads to life. Your standards are high but attainable by the power of Your Holy Spirit living in us because we believe in Your resurrected Son Jesus. I come before You this day in His precious name asking for all the women in my life and myself included to have an awe reverent fear of You, for this is only the beginning of wisdom. To know You and be set apart is a gift. There are far too many odious women both young and old that fail at the standard You have set. Forgive us Lord for we do not understand how repulsive our pride, actions and lack of manners really are. I pray Lord for You to raise up women to meet Your standard for Your bride to have worth far above rubies. Truth be told there are few on earth that are so precious. Forgive us Lord for being too concerned with our outward appearance and neglecting the virtues of living. The attributes of a virtuous person are unattainable in our own strength for the works of the flesh, whether good or bad are rooted in the fruit of our old sin nature and are repugnant to You Almighty God. I thank You for the desire You place in our hearts to be holy, chaste, gracious and good and the achieving of this manner of life bringing glory to You Lord Jesus. I thank You for making us Your possession and clothing us in Your righteousness. May we daily abide in You and You abide in us, so we may present ourselves as a living sacrifice unto You. Finish Your work in us conforming us into Your image and likeness more and more with each passing day. May others see You in us and know the hope of Your glory. Amen.

2 Timothy 3:6-7

For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captive of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Heavenly and Holy Father, give ear to my words and consider my meditations. Give heed to the voice of my cry. For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, nor does evil dwell in You. You shall destroy those who speak falsehood, those who are deceitful. But as for me I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy with thanksgiving. I was once gullible and vulnerable to being seduced by those who had a form of godliness but denied Your power. I was one like many who are overwhelmed by guilt from sins and overly eager to hear teachings of any substance. May Your Spirit make us keenly aware of false teachers who seek to take advantage of our desire for religious education. Alert us to the teachers whose instruction cannot yield the knowledge of the truth the gospel or lead to godly living. Jannis and Jambres according to legend were magicians who opposed You and imitated miraculous signs and even today Lord we recognize there are many who creep into households through various means of the internet, protect us, Lord. By the counsel of Your Holy Spirit and the reading and meditating on Your word may we become aware of the things that make us gullible. As we examine our heart and minds reveal any hidden sin of guilt from previous sin so we may confess and be cleansed. Let us not become vulnerable because we give too much heed or value to our feelings remembering that is the way Eve fell in the garden. May we daily put on the helmet of salvation with thanksgiving. Lord may we not be vulnerable because of ignorance of the truth but be faithful Bereans learning daily, receiving with great eagerness as we examine the scriptures. May we Lord by Your Spirit come reason together day by day to fortify and keep each other strong. Thank You Lord for covering Your children in Your protection shepherding us to green pasture. In Jesus name. Amen.

Psalm 91:14

The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name."

Sovereign God Almighty, with a song in my heart I joyfully proclaim Your love for all people. You are King over the world. With my whole being I praise Your holy name and may it be acceptable in Your sight. I thank You that when I call upon You the answers come. Thank You for showing me Your salvation. May I continue to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness every night. I put my trust solely in You and You alone. Thank You for placing Your angels to be charge over me and my family keeping us in all our ways. Thank You for bearing us up so we do not dash our foot on a stone. Thank You Father that no evil will befall us nor come near our dwelling place. My heart's desire for me and my loved ones is to dwell in Your secret place and to abide under the shadow of You Almighty. I thank You for delivering us from the snares of the fowler, from perilous pestilence as You graciously cover us in Your feathers. Your truth shall be our shield and buckler, so we are not afraid of terror by night or arrow by day. Thank You for Your love, protection and provisions. May we live a life that glorifies You both now and forever. Amen.

Nahum 1:3

And the LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked. The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and in the clouds and are the dust of His feet.

It is a wonderfully gracious thing LORD that you are slow to anger, so patient with the world. But I pray many would come to the knowledge of the truth that Your patience is not a reason to disbelieve in Your final judgement, that will one day come to pass. You are a God of justice and how blessed are those who long for You. It is humbling to think that You long to be gracious to us, waiting on high to have compassion. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before You. You LORD are worthy of all praise. As You well know just like the ancient people who worshiped nature gods, particularly deities associated with storms, clouds and rainfall there are many who still do today. LORD, have mercy and forgive them they know not what they are doing when they worship the creation instead of You the Creator. There are no other gods, but You and we really need You now. Many refuse to obey, and they are not mindful of Your wonders that You do amongst us. They have hardened their necks, and in their rebellion, they appoint leaders to return to their bondage. BUT You are still God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, abundant in kindness. I for one want to be found in continual adoration and love for You. May Your praise forever be on my lips. Thank You for saving me. Amen.

Proverbs 27:8

Like a bird that wanders from its nest is a man who wanders from his place.

Heavenly Father as I meditate on Your wisdom as written in Proverbs which is more than a book of "tips and tricks" I have understanding of the knowledge I must have to live a successful life. I thank You that they are not merely old sayings that concerned people who live in a far-off land but are principles to help me and others throughout time. The warning not to stray far from You is clear, as doing so is to lose security and opens us up to new and powerful temptations. I pray Lord for the return of prodigals. Rescue our loved ones from destructive lifestyles, restoring them to their senses. Deliver us from evil. Teach our children by the power of Your Spirit to recognize deceptive ideas and thoughts. Making us all alert to the lies of the enemy. Teach us Lord to resist the devil by faith. Bless our children to have the courage to be honest with themselves and with You. Spirit of God convict us of our hidden sin not allowing us to blame others for the troubles in our lives. We each are responsible for the choice we make so make us aware of any negative consequences so we may choose to remain in the nest of Your love and grace. Lord, we trust You with our most prized possession, those we love. Jesus be glorified in and through our lives. Bless us this day and grant us our daily bread. Thank You, Amen.

Genesis 32:9

Then Jacob said, "O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Issac, the LORD who said to me 'Return to your country and to your family, and I will deal well with you."

Truly Jesus I am gratefully grafted into the olive tree to be a partaker of the root and its fatness for I was once a wild olive. I do not boast being a branch for You are the root that supports me. I thank You for supernaturally connecting me to Your family. You are not a remote Father but a good and gracious and very present One in my life. And as many earthly children say to their parents "You said..." I come to You saying You said I would see Your goodness, that Your mercies are new every day and great is Your faithfulness, You are not a man that You should lie. So, I remind You Lord that You have said by Your stripes I am healed, thank You. You have said Your grace is sufficient for me and Your strength is made perfect in weakness, thank You. I look to You today to help me overcome this infirmity and continue on to be productive in the advancement of Your kingdom. I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from You my Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. Bless You Lord and may praises be continually on my lips. Amen.

Psalm 68:6

God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

I sing to You God, sing praise to Your name. I extol You Lord acknowledging Your greatness, the One who rides on the clouds. By Your name YAH, I rejoice before You. Blessed are You Lord, who daily loads me with benefits. You are the God of my salvation! But You O' Lord are not limited to the clouds and storms, You meet the needs of the helpless. You are the holy habitation and dispense justice. Thank You for the gift of loneliness that drives me into a deeper relationship with You and others, enlarging my heart to love. Without this gift I would not have married or engage in friendships or endure the numerous problems that are a natural part of intimacy. Thank You Lord for using loneliness to cause me to appreciate the beauty of others in a new way. May the little lonely that I feel be the help I need Lord to realize my own company can be very worthwhile. As being content is a crucial lesson for my identity in You. As I consider the forms of loneliness such as the felt isolation of not being understood, or not having someone "with" me as I walk through suffering, like Job who needed empathy and understanding. I believe Jesus, You felt it even more as You set Your face like a flint and journeyed to the cross. You Lord Jesus were familiar with the bitter taste of loneliness in suffering, I look to You for comfort. You Lord Jesus were well acquainted with the pain of rejection. Your example points to the fact that I need to arm myself with the knowledge that when I pick up my cross and follow You, I am to become very acquainted with the deep and existential forms of loneliness You experienced. But I rejoice because in You there is the fullness of joy and my heart swells with gratitude. I thank You Jesus for never leaving nor forsaking me. May You receive all the glory in every season of my life. Amen.
