Hebrews 11:31

By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.

You Lord are the Ancient of Days. Yahweh, You have graciously opened the heart and mind of a foreign prostitute to accept You as Lord. I am always in awe of the dramatic ways You deliver those who reach out to You the Living God. And then You go even further and save families. What a mighty God we serve. You take a spiritual impoverished life and make it new to live in abundance. Truly the greatest miracle of them all is the miracle of salvation. Rehab begged and asked for a true token, not one that tarnishes, fades or one that one day comes to lack luster, but she asked for kindness over her father's house. She honored her father so all would go well with her as the commandment says. She desired that her father, mother, brothers and sisters' lives would be delivered from death. How our hearts cry out for the same. The Tikvah, the scarlet rope she hung out the window, was a cord that is the symbol of expectation and hope. Our hope is woven in You Jesus. Our hope is real, and we cling to You as You are not out of reach but very present in the fabric of our lives. Just as Rehab had to wait for the realization of the promise, we Your children wait with expectation and gratitude for our prodigals to return home. We patiently wait for the healing of loved ones, the needed provisions or wisdom for the current challenges we face, because we know You Lord are faithful, and You are our blessed assurance. For thou art my hope (Tikvah), O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth. We ask for Your kindness over our households as You do miracles today Lord as only You can. With hearts of thanksgiving, we praise You Jesus, Amen.
