Matthew 8:6

"...saying, Lord my servant is lying home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented."

Dear Heavenly Father,
How blessed I am to be able to come before You, Lord God Almighty. Thank You for leaning Your ear to hear my plea. With open arms You receive and welcome me in to Your courts. How very blessed I am. Father, I bring before Your throne of grace some friends who have been recently diagnosed with serious conditions of the heart, others with illnesses that plaque their bodies causing them to be less mobile. These reports are paralyzing to the mind and soul. One could say making them feel dreadfully tormented. Forgive us Lord for not coming to You first, but seeking comfort from others, as Job puts it in chapter 13 are worthless physicians. Oh that they should keep silent, so the sick could hear Your wisdom. Their well meaning thoughts and comments only add to suffering because it take our eyes off of You, Jesus the one who heals and restores. Father thank You for the men and women that You have called to study and dedicated their lives to medicine, continue to fill them with wisdom and understanding of the things that afflict the body. Pour a fresh anointing on their hands as they tend to the sick. Keep them strong and of sound minds to minister to the ailing. Lord hear my prayers for those who have conceded in defeat believing their healing won't come. May they be tormented no longer, because You have opened their heart to You. May they encounter the One who loves them greatly, show mercy and gives graciously. Jesus, You are the giver of peace and life everlasting. Lift them Lord Jesus from the bed that has keeps them frozen in fear and anxiety of not knowing the outcome of their illness. Open their ears to hear Your loving response echoed from the cross "It is finished!" May all arise who are weary from worry and find rest in Your loving arms. Thank You Lord for Your healing touch that has restored my soul and the souls of others. With all my heart I love You, Amen.
