1 Timothy 6:6

Now godliness with contentment is great gain.

Dear Holy Father,
You are gracious and full of compassion sending redemption. Holy and awesome is His name. Father I raise up to You the fools that despise wisdom and instruction may their hearts be softened to the truth of Your Son Jesus Christ. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. To walk in humility, grace, purity and reverence of You our great God and King brings a lifetime of contentment. May all rejoice in You always. Again I will say rejoice! The blessing to know whatever state we are in to be content is of great gain. We have brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out. Let us consent to the wholesome words of our Lord Jesus Christ, to love the Him with all our hearts, minds, and souls and our neighbors as ourselves. Lord I pray for the wisdom and inner godliness that does not produce a vacuum of greed. The insatiable desire that drives us into temptation, snares, and foolish and harmful lusts that drag us into the pit where our souls drown. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so we may fight the good fight of faith turning from the love of money, power and the likes to the pursuit of joy, hope, love and peace. May we not be haughty, putting our trust in uncertain riches but in You the Living God who gives us richly in all things to enjoy. Thank You Lord for putting fear into my heart to grow in wisdom. Happy is the person who has wisdom, and gains understanding for the proceeds are better than profit of silver and fine gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies, and all the things we desire cannot compare with it.  May all get wisdom, get understanding so they may be blessed with life and life more abundantly. In Your name Jesus I pray, Amen.
