But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Dearest Lord and Savior,
Please-meaning to give pleasure or satisfaction. So simple a desire You have Lord for all to have faith in You. How I would love to behold Your face when someone asked You into their heart. My mind so small it only has a tiny glimpse of it. Jesus, the thought of the lost running into Your loving arms causes joy in the form of tears to pour forth from my eye as I imagine the wonder of it. Father I pray for those who have made the choice to please You, may You bless them with rewards without measure. Many Lord believe in You even though they are going through various trials, standing firm, especially those who are pleasing You with strong faith as they are being persecuted. Comfort, encourage and reward them, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Strengthen their loved ones as they call to You for relief. As they press in seeking You reveal Yourself in wonderfuls way. Hold them close under the shadow of Your wing. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on those in prison just because they call You Lord Jesus. Soften the hearts of those who are afraid of You and try to squelch Your Spirit. May they know the truth and be set free. Some Lord say they believe in You, yet do not receive the forgiveness You give. May their eyes be open to the falseness of their prideful thinking. This is not the humility You desire, saying they are unworthy to receive You and rejecting Your offering putting their faith in their own works of good deeds. They do not fully understand Your loving sacrifice on the cross. The magnitude of Your greatness to be raised from the dead. Lord none of us are worthy of You, but I bless the day my heart was open to receive Your loving gift. I pray all will come to the knowledge and the end of themselves to embrace the truth that no one come to the Father unless through the Son. False pride must be laid down, the shedding of self must be replaced by the robe of righteousness. May we diligently seek You, In Jesus name I pray. Amen
